David Farmer

Rev. David Farmer is the Minister of Outreach Activities for First Christian Church of Longview, Texas. Farmer graduated from Arizona State University in 1967, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then graduated from Stanford University in 1971, where he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.

Rev. Farmer has been at First Christian Church since 1978, and has served as Singles Director since 1990. He has served as Chairman of the local American Cancer Society as well as the Longview Community Ministries. He became a Stephen Minister in 1996. He has delivered Meals on Wheels since 1985 and is active in the outreach community. Rev. Farmer became a Licensed Minister on October 1, 2003, and has served First Christian Church as Minister of Outreach since April 1, 2005. He also serves as Chaplain at Good Shepherd Medical Center. He and his wife Susan have a daughter Jennifer and a son Reagin, and four grandsons.
