Dr. Jim Lewis is the Minister of Congregational Life here at First Christian Church. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and is a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, Emory University (Candler School of Theology) and Texas Christian University (Brite Divinity School). He has just finished a Master's Level Certification in Counseling (Licensed Professional Counseling) at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

Jim is married to Barbara, a teacher and trained counselor. They have many interests: reading, arts and crafts and being with their children, Keith (an Associate/Youth Minister at the United Church of Los Alamos, N.M. ) and Amelia (a high school English teacher with the Round Rock ISD).
